Our names are Lauren and Gracie. We met at a world view camp in Colorado, where we were inspired to become more disciplined readers. Over the next ten weeks, we will be reading ten books and posting book reviews along the way. Stay tuned.
Wow Gracie, you really summed up the book well! You should DEFINITELY be a writer!!! This book is soooo powerful. While reading it it made me look at my own life and question things. While reading the chapter in which Chan discusses the "lukewarm" Christian, I began to think about how often times we don't outwardly say that we do things out of "duty" or "responsibility" for Christ, but we do. Rather, I should be doing these things because of my love for Christ and because of the overabundance of love that he has given to me. I loved how he talked about our relationship with Christ as if he is our best friend that we can't wait to spend time with! That's a challenge for me, to treat my quiet times as if they are precious times with my best friend! So cool to think about. huh? Missing you tons Gracie!
